Hidden beneath the Ox Mountains, overshadowed by Ben Bulben, beamed upon by the queenly Knocknarea, Rosses Point is the pride of Sligo Bay, The real Memory Harbour.
The 'Point' is famous for golf, sailing/fishing-trips/boats/charters/water-sports, fantastic beaches, and artistic excellence:

Like most villages it also has its own eccentric collection of highly entertaining 'barstool-fools' to keep you entertained on rainy intervals!
They can be located wandering like lost sheep between the two local debating establishments - Austies, or Harrys and occasionally venture as far as Coney Island when the king opens the only pub, especially when spendable or influential toursits require helpful thirsty guides.
Another wandering visitor is The Metal Man who comes ashore once a year, when The Metal Lady goes to sea.
The village has many Guesthouses and two hotels-
The Yeats Country Hotel and The Raddisson.
Resaurants: The Waterfront, The Moorings, Murphs, and a Chinese.
Newspapers, supplies and petrol can be obtained from Doherty's Shop at the end of the village beside the local post offiice.
